For 30 years already, it has been possible to study in Finland to become a landscape architect. The Degree Programme in Landscape Architecture at Aalto University will be celebrating its thirtieth anniversary in October 2019. During the Jubilee Week from 7 to 11 October, the profession will be going on display at different events on the Otaniemi Campus and elsewhere in the Helsinki area.
The title LANDMARK refers both to the profession of landscape architects (the Finnish title for the association is MARK) and to an orientation point which provides an opportunity to reflect on the past and set a course for the future.
Events during the Jubilee Week
The main event will be the Nils Erik Wickberg Symposium, which will take place on the afternoon of Friday 11 October and will provide interesting lectures on the topic LANDMARK – orientations in landscape architecture. Projects and research presentations shared by landscape architect professionals will be on display at the LANDMARK 30 seminar on the morning of the same day. The Jubilee will culminate with an evening party celebrating the last 30 years.
